LightCyber

"Sally is our secret weapon in great UK PR coverage. She is well respected by journalists and is always finding great opportunities for us. Sally does much of the work herself - supported by experienced freelancers for larger projects - and is more productive and responsive than any agency I've retained."

Steve Schick, Sr. Director, Corporate Communications at LightCyber

Background

Founded in 2012 and led by world-class cyber security experts, LightCyber provides Behavioural Attack Detection solutions that yield accurate and efficient security alerts via behavioural profiling and machine learning/AI.

Bratton PR launched LightCyber in the UK in May 2016 and followed up a strong media response with a wide range of PR activities.

In February 2017 LightCyber was acquired by Palo Alto Networks (NYSE:PANW).

Objectives

Results

Over 100 articles published in just 10 months across a wide range of media outlets, including the Financial Times and The Times. Coverage also secured in core IT and infosec publications including SC Media, ITProPortal, Computer Weekly, The Register and Infosecurity magazine.

Multiple PR techniques were used to maximise media coverage including: placement of opinion articles and comment on topical cybersecurity issues; customer case study pitching and interview co-ordination; release of new industry survey statistics, supported by phone interviews for journalists wanting more in-depth analysis, plus regular press release distribution and story/news 'sell in'.
